Work
I work as a freelancer/contractor, usually doing service or product work (designing or management), sometimes helping look at operations stuff.
I am currently mainly working with Create/Change at NHS England as a product lead on digital referrals and appointments until the end of September 2026 (with some other little bits to the side). Feel free to hit me up if you're interested in doing some smaller bits together or something bigger after March.
I try to write week notes which sometimes mention work, sometimes that is a month note. It's harder to talk about work days these days due to sensitivities.
I have guiding principles for my work.
When time allows I offer up half hour spaces in my diary, a chance to say hi, catch up or talk about a problem.
I have no upcoming speaking engagements. Get in touch if you would like me to do something. If you have something specific in mind that is a good start too.
If you think I might be able to help you or your organisation please get in touch.
Non-work
In my free time I:
- am a dad to two amazing kids (who are both over 18 now, but they're still kids, eh)
- am married to my bestie
- run
- watch films and sometimes get to watch TV programmes
- listen to music (including classic middle-aged man habit, going to gigs)
- read
- do up the house my wife and I own in Saltaire, aka the never ending project
- growing fruit and veg in our small front and back yards
- write posts on my blog
- still support Grimsby Town Football Club (and have two season tickets in the Pontoon stand at Blundell Park)
- try to follow Brooklyn Nets, despite the five hour time difference
- am married to a lady from Dallas so I guess I support the Dallas Cowboys now too
